Andiamo Detroit Riverfront
Andiamo at the Detroit Riverfront is an Italian fine dining restaurant in the Ren Cen building. They have other locations in the suburbs as well. We’ve been to the Bloomfield Twnsp on previous travels and we were happy to see a location in the Ren Cen where we were staying.Food is very fresh, delicious and pastas are made in-house. Jordan our server was friendly and offered excellent suggestions of specialty seasonal items that weren’t on the menu.We started with the calamari that was accompanied by a homemade tomato sauce that had fresh cut basil chiffonades (mini julienne type slice strips). Our salads both house and Caesar were on chilled plates and tasted nice.We then had the seafood Alfredo. Jordan recommended to have the seafood grilled vs sautéed as it would taste amazing. It was devine! The fresh grilled scallops were huge and cooked perfectly. The shrimps had a Cajun like taste and married nicely with the creamy Alfredo. The generous sweet meat lobster tail was accompanied with warm drawn butter. We also had the Veal Milanese which was lightly breaded, tender and flavorful with roasted potatoes and green beans.We were so full and although the desert selections looked amazing, we wanted something light. I asked Jordan if they had spumoni ice cream. He didn’t disappoint! That was the best spumoni ice cream I’ve had in ages. Beautiful flecks of kirsch cherry, chocolate ribbons and other bursts of flavor was perfect.Great place for any occasion or just to treat yourself. Authentic fresh Italian flavors abound! Grazi Andiamo for a beautiful meal!

Andiamo Detroit Riverfront
This was our second time coming here and both times Alex was our waitress and she was amazing! She’s considerate and goes out of her way to make her customers happy and comfortable. The manager personally came out to check on us as well, which shows how much he cares about his patrons. The food is incredible and cooked to perfection and Alex just topped off the evening!

I Thank my God for allowing my husband and I to see and live to see 40 years of marriage. We are celebrating downtown at Andiamo’s restaurant on the riverfront and our server. Today was Brandon who has been very kind and have really waited on us setting the atmosphere right and made it very special..thank you as well Brandon and May God Bless you.

Dined here tonight. Jordan was our server and he was awesome. He walked us through the Andiamo experience which helped us make our selections from the menu.Steak was perfectly seasoned and seared. Mashed potatoes were delicious.Thanks Jordan! We’ll be back.

Awesome italian food. I was in a large party celebrating my niece's 21st birthday and not only did the varied dishes look great, everyone loved their food. Our waitress, Thelma, was truly magnificent. She was super attentive, very friendly and very engaging. She even gave my niece a very special dessert. I will definitely request her every time I return. The owner Mike, was also present and very attentive as well, constantly ensuring our experience was superb. I spoke with him at length while awaiting the arrival of the rest of my party and he was super nice.

I went to andiamo for Valentine’s Day and I had a pleasurable experience. The holiday menu was extremely limited but I did have an 8 oz. filet steak it was pretty good and I’m not a steak eater. I asked for my steak to have a barely a lil pink and thru did a great job there. I forgot what my date had but he liked it.What I truly enjoyed the most was our waiter Heather.I haven’t been to Andiamo in years, and the menu was new to me due to holiday and owner changes, Heather answered all my questions, and evettemely knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations on the menu.When you go make sure you request Heather !!!!

We had an absolutely delightful experience at Andiamo! The food, the wine, the riverfront view, and of course, the service! Our server Jalen greeted us in a way so genuine that I immediately knew we were going to have a wonderful dining experience. He gave us the run down of all of the current specials and was very patient in answering all of our questions. My boyfriend throughly enjoyed his filet and I had the seafood trio pasta that was on special. The lobster was especially fresh and tasty and even the pasta itself was wonderfully creamy and delicious. While chatting with Jalen for a moment, he picked up on the fact that it was my boyfriend’s birthday weekend. When our dessert that we had ordered came out, we were surprised to find that he had the kitchen write “Happy Birthday!” on the plate in raspberry sauce. What a wonderful surprise! You have gained two new happy patrons and we will absolutely be coming back the next time that we are in Detroit. Thank you!
